Ask Her if She's Meagan White's Sister and She'll Love It
Awkward.
Introduction.
Darren and Jennifer, from church, had Josh and I, plus Jacob, Sarah, Vickie, Alex, and Danielle, over for supper tonight. At first it was really uncomfortable, because Jacob, Josh, and Sarah were nostaligically reliving their Starrigan days. Then they moved on to Silver Birches pranks from the Junior Days. I chimed in with my "In my first year at camp, I painted Jacob's toenails!" story, but that's about as far as my contributions went.
When we went downstairs, because Josh decided to awkwardly sit on the floor instead of in the massive hole between Sarah and I on the couch, I sat next to Jennifer. Sarah talked and taaaaaaaaaaaalked and talked about her preppy volleyball teammates and nerdy 901ers and hairy-lipped male friends. Josh, Jacob, and Darren listened intently. Alex dozed in the corner. Vickie and Danielle kept to themselves. And Jennifer and I just laughed and made snide remarks to eachother about Sarah's ghusto and Darren's inability to pick up the right groceries. I had soooooooo much fun being mature. :) I love Darren and Jennifer.
Then I brought Sarah home, and she spent about fifteen minutes hoping in and out of the car as we finished stories and started new ones just as she was about to walk away. We're going to go through a drivethrough somewhere tomorrow after VBS. Sarah's exccceeeeeeeeeeellent on the lunch outings. Yesterday, she treated me to Subway. Because we're awesome. :)
So that's my evening. I also spent all afternoon packing my clothes, which was exhausting and boring. My room is getting pretty empty! While I was trying to figure out what to take for a jewelry box, Mom brought out a present. It's a little glass jewelry box that has this precious daughter verse thing on the top. Inside the box were two chains with a Mom/Daughter heart pendant on them. Just like the one I have with my sister. Sigh. I'm a pretty big homebody, but my parents are especially having a really hard time with me going away. I love my parents soooooooo much.
And I also had a nap around 5:00, because I was dizzy from all the ups and downs of closet cleaning, and because supper at Darren's wasn't until 7:30 and I was getting hungry. And because I don't get enough sleep.
P.S. Regina update: I bought the Begin to Hope CD yesterday and I'm learnig even mooooooore Regina songs. I've also discovered that a couple of my friends like to make a habit of naming their blogs after Regina songs. I'd never noticed. Apres moi le deluge. I have dreams of orca whales and owls. It's not my choice.

Who names their blogs after Regina Spektor songs?

Aaah, THAT'S who you're talking about.
I might iTunes up some Regina Spektor, myself. The stuff I heard in Sarah's car was good.
And how, missey poo, is making snide comments more mature than having a reminicent conversation? I was expecting you and Darren to start talking about Nationals and give Sarah and I a break from Sterrigan, but that never really happened. I'll give you a more obvious segwey next time ;)
