Seize le Weekend
Jack was every inch a sailor. Yes he was. Five and twenty years a whaler.
Heather, Meredith, and I went to my cabin last night. I have to admit that I was preetttty moody when we left, mostly because I was noooot in the mood to be venturing to Howley in torrential rain. But "On and On and On," by ABBA, came on the radio on the way up, and I came around.
We didn't get to the cabin until after nine, so we didn't do much last night except snack, watch tv, and play cards. I realized, though, that perhaps the best feeling in the woooorld is reaching that state of tiredness where absolutely evvvverything is hilarious.
We woke up this morning to more rain. That's ok. We go canoeing and kayaking anyway. The canoe/kayak trip turned out to be the most fun had in an ABBA-less situation ever. We decided to be adventurous and cross the lake. And we got out of the boats at two different islands. We were the only ones brave enough to be out on the water. I'm proud.
So that's about it. We left around supper time, so it was a short trip. The rain was suck-ish for driving, but made the rest of the trip exciting. :)
P.S. Try not to be intimidated by the extreme gorgeousness of that last photograph.

Wow, sounds like you folks had a great time.
And tell Meredith that Bawls is available in Corner Brook now. The gas station nearest my house apparently carries it now.
