Thank You for the Music

Welcome to bloooogspot. MSN spaces stink. And, so, I will start this new and exciting blog gracefully. Boom. Super trip to Stephenville? Heck, yes.

The trip began beautifully as Sarah and I arrived at the Wal-mart garden centre at exactly the same time. Swert. Sarah smiled and waved, but I was too taken up with the gaping hole in the side of her car to respond. BAHA.

Then I finally met Sarah's mom, Phyllis. Phyllis is cooool. She made us cake afterwards. I'll get to that later. So, we watched some t.v. and hung out with Sarah's mom, and then picked up Wanda, our 38-year-old friend, for supper at Pizza Delight. Waaaaay too much food. But good, though. Soooo theeeeeeen Wanda gave me the grand tour of Stephenville. Exciting stuff. And we bought candy. And went to Tim Horton's.

And thhhheeen we arrived an hour early for ABBA. "ABABABABABABABABABABA." Wooow. It was amaaazingg. Words cannot comprehend how much I enjoyed the show.
The musicians were extremely talented and beautiful. And the "performers" (who were alllsoo musicians) were enthusiastic and hoppin'. One of the girls looked sooooooooo much like Frida, in the original band. And the guy singer, though he was so obviously homosexual, was quite entertaining. And the pants were simply unforgettable.

Well worth the seventeen dollars.

Following the show, we dropped Wanda off for the evening and did some cruuising. When we finally returned to Sarah's house, we found two cakes on the counter with the note, "Eat some for your snack" (or something like that) attached. TWO CAKES! Woooooow. So we had cake. And watched t.v.. And did some blog reading. And went to bed.

*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*Z*

This morning, I woke up bright and early, so I decided to get an early shower. It was quite amusing to see Sarah's confusion when she came to my room to wake me at 9:00 a.m. and I was showered and hair-dooed. Theeeeen, before church, we had pizza for breakfast.
Scooooooooore.

Church at the Stephenville Community Salvation Army was ennnnnjoyable. I played in the band and forgot one of my tune books. ohhh boy. I'm very proud of the Stephenville Corp. The words "When no one joins me, still I will follow," from "I Have Decided to Follow Jesus" come to mind. I'm not sure why. They maybe aren't that applicable. But that's ok.

We ate lunch at Dominion. Randomly cool. But I was too full to eat much.

Anndddd finally, Sarah and I bought food at Danny's Bakery and took it to Gull Pond - yes, Gull Pond as in the famous Gull Pond - to eat. We waded in the pond and made squishy sand footprints, and I caught a pin fish. Before returning to Stephenville for a goodbye, we lid in the sun, took pictures of the clouds, and got our buuummmms very wet. How rooommmmannntic.

ahhhh Stephenville. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

1)ABBA.
2)Sarah E. Vandercheatim
3)Wanda Smorgisborginopolis
4)Gull Pond
5)Danny's Bakery
6)Stephenville accents

I finally sort of know my way around. Bonus. And the hilight of my trip? I was called a "true ABBA fan." Yuuuuusssss.
